Information for HelpX-ers

Hello,

everybody, especially you, HelpX-ers. We would like to share with you some information in case you would like to come to visit us.

First of all, we would like to say that we would be very happy to invite any warm and sincere being in our household, to enjoy common moments and joy of work with natural materials.

What kind of work we need to help with?

Well, this year, our main goal is to finish most of our straw-bale house such that we can start living in it by the end of autumn. That means to do all the interior work, namely: raw earth plasters, finishing earth plasters, inner walls, electricity, water distribution, waste water, heating (central tile stove). We would like also to finish exterior earth plasters. Besides that, we are thinking about building a simple fence and a simple house for some first animals. We will also realize a waste water root filter with a small lagoon and septic. So if you can help us with any activity mentioned here, that would be great.

What we can offer you?

Regarding accomodation, this will be fairly modest. You can either stay in our partially completed house (e.g. attic) or in the caravan. Water distribution is not prepared yet and so there is no hot watter, no shower or bath. But we do have a functional well. So we will have to heat the water on a stove. We can provide you complete food service if you agree to have almost vegetarian food (we eat meat just occasionally). Our food resambles a lot macrobiotics.
